Courtney Jackson, Director
Courtney Jackson has consultant expertise in shared services design and implementation, operations improvement and process design, organization restructuring, and project and change management. Prior to joining ScottMadden in 2003, Ms. Jackson was a consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, working with dispute litigations. She developed financial models and calculated damages for expert witness testimony support. Ms. Jackson received an M.B.A. from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a B.S. in commerce with a minor in French from the University of Virginia.
Recent Assignments
- Managed functional HR shared services implementation for a national defense contracting company serving more than 121,000 employees across nine business units. Oversaw development of a knowledgebase information repository, created internal operating processes and procedures, implemented harmonized service processes for employees, and developed and delivered technology and tools training
- Participated in a customer call center outsourcing engagement for a large utility company, which included developing a request for proposal (RFP), preparing for vendor selection, and analyzing vendor responses to ensure alignment with the client’s strategic initiatives
- Redesigned future state processes for a financial and accounting shared services center within a national property development company. Facilitated process design sessions and managed documentation of more than 135 processes related to on-site and corporate financial accounting, accounts payable, cash management, leasing, utility management, and shared service operational processes
- Implemented leading practice expense-management software, reengineered processes, standardized policies, developed and delivered training, and streamlined the customer delivery model for a leading entertainment company’s travel and entertainment function. Served as project manager over technology design, development, testing, and rollout to more than 40 business units
- Restructured an HR organization and implemented a shared services center in a large energy corporation. Created a cross-functional scope for the new HR service delivery model, reengineered processes to align with the delivery model, redesigned the organization, created transition/change management plans, and developed and delivered operational and technology training. Facilitated a process reengineering team and managed documentation of more than 280 HR processes
- Helped strategically reorganize an energy delivery group within a large utility company. Performed management organizational span-and-layer analysis, analyzed cost trends, and developed alternatives to enable cost reductions
Assisted the commercial finance team within a leading technology services firm in developing an effective method for analyzing post-deal sales data. Helped manage the implementation of a data infrastructure system to analyze transactions and financial performance
- Evaluated shareholder terms and conditions, control premiums, and the ownership structure of an Australian beer company’s 50% shareholding in a Canadian beer manufacturer, resulting in tax savings of $20 million
- Led a multi-cultural and cross-functional data integrity team for a large Swiss bank to help recover assets for Holocaust victims. Used Oracle and Access software to interpret, analyze, and standardize more than 600,000 accounts and two million individuals.
