S. Bradley Kitchens, President & CEO
Brad Kitchens is president and CEO of ScottMadden, Inc. With more than 20 years of business and consulting experience, he also leads the firm’s outsourcing and alliance management practices. He has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, operations improvement, business planning, outsourcing, alliance management, and corporate finance. Although Mr. Kitchens specializes in energy and energy utilities, he has supported numerous outsourcing engagements in other industries. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Kitchens consulted with Deloitte & Touche in the metropolitan New York area. He received a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, where he graduated with top honors and was recognized as a Fuqua Scholar.
Recent Assignments
- Analyzed and presented energy industry trends to the board of directors for a major IOU
- Led the review and recommendation of a 10-year capital management program for a major IOU
- Assisted with synergy identification and associated integration planning for an electric and gas merger
- Provided post-merger integration planning and value preservation assistance for an energy industry acquisition
- Led a comprehensive generation playbook project for a leading U.S.-based IOU. This project focused on major operational, organizational, and technical aspects of power plant and support operations
- Identified sourcing (outsourcing and alliance) candidates for sales, procurement and delivery, billing and collections, and customer service for a new business venture within a large utility
