Andrew Cottrell

Andrew Cottrell is a partner at ScottMadden and has more than 17 years of experience in the energy industry. Before joining ScottMadden in 2023, Andrew was managing director at Applied Energy Group’s Utility Consulting Group, leading the planning and program design group. While at AEG, he provided analytical and strategic direction for a comprehensive range of demand-side projects and studies covering energy efficiency, demand response, customer generation, and end-use technologies in the context of program design and implementation, program evaluation, market potential, and business strategy. Andrew holds an M.P.P. from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey –Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy and an A.B. in engineering from Lafayette College. He is a Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP).
